This quilt would make an excellent Market Jacket or Blazer. This is an antique American Quilt and was finished in 1903 and was either made by or made for Della Dewold. We know this because there is beautiful hand embroidery with these details on the quilt. It is a traditional Crazy quilt made in the Scrappy quilt style. The piece is filled with wools, silks, plaids, flannels, and men's shirt scraps. The quilt has been hand sewn and is filled with beautiful handwork! This quilt will make a very cozy jacket because the maker backed this with a cozy red corduroy fabric. On top of this red fabric they added hand knotting. If you live in a warm climate we do not recommend this jacket, unless you plan on taking a ski trip or frequent the lake or mountains!
