This is an American Antique quilt made by Jane Eagan in 1928. We know this because the maker gave us the gift of hand embroidering both her name and the date into the quilt. We have preserved this provenance and placed it in the inside of the jacket. We have added a photo below for your convenience. This is a traditional Daffodil Applique quilt pattern. Jane was a handwork master. She beautifully hand quilted, hand appliqued and hand embroidered the quilt. To add depth and dimension, Jane hand embroidered between each flower petal. In our opinion the quilt is extremely soft, very thin, lightweight with little to no loft (batting), and has a very flattering drape. Please note: there are a few very small spots on the front and inside of jacket and an age spot on the back. We have included both iphone and hi-res photos below for your convenience. Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
